Welcome to Mediate Expeditions. By booking a hunt, safari, or using our website and services, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.
Definitions
- “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us” refers to Mediate Expeditions.
- “Outfitters” refers to our trusted partners who provide guided hunts, safaris, accommodations, and related services.
- “Client” refers to any individual or group booking or participating in a hunt, safari, or related service.
Booking & Payments
- All bookings require a non-refundable deposit to secure your trip. Deposit amounts vary by package and will be communicated at the time of booking.
- Final balance payments are due no later than [X days/weeks] prior to departure. Failure to pay may result in cancellation of your trip without refund of the deposit.
- Accepted payment methods include credit card, wire transfer, and other methods as specified during booking.
Cancellations & Refunds
- Client Cancellations: Deposits are non-refundable. If cancellation occurs after full payment, refunds (if any) will be subject to the policies of the outfitter and partners involved.
- Company Cancellations: If Mediate Expeditions or our partners must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., outfitter unavailability, government restrictions), we will work to reschedule your hunt or issue a credit toward future travel.
- We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover cancellations, medical emergencies, and unforeseen events.
Travel Documents & Responsibilities
- Clients are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, firearm permits, and other necessary documentation for travel.
- Mediate Expeditions may assist with guidance, but compliance with local and international laws is the sole responsibility of the client.
- Failure to obtain required documents does not entitle the client to a refund.
Assumption of Risk
- Participation in hunting and safari activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to dangerous wildlife encounters, natural hazards, accidents, and medical emergencies.
- By booking with Mediate Expeditions, you acknowledge these risks and agree to participate voluntarily and at your own risk.
- Mediate Expeditions, its employees, and partners are not liable for personal injury, death, loss, or damage to property arising from participation in hunts or safaris.
Insurance
Clients are strongly advised to obtain:
- Travel Insurance (covering trip delays, cancellations, lost baggage, etc.)
- Medical Insurance (covering international treatment and evacuation)
- Hunting Insurance (optional, where applicable)
Proof of coverage may be required before participation in certain hunts.
Health & Fitness
- Clients must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations that may affect participation.
- Outfitters reserve the right to deny participation if they deem it unsafe due to health or fitness concerns.
Code of Conduct
By booking with Mediate Expeditions, you agree to:
- Follow all local laws and regulations.
- Respect outfitters, guides, wildlife, and fellow hunters.
- Comply with ethical hunting practices, including adherence to quotas and conservation rules.
Failure to comply may result in termination of your hunt without refund.
Limitation of Liability
- Mediate Expeditions acts as a booking agency and intermediary between clients and outfitters.
- We are not responsible for acts, errors, omissions, or negligence of third-party providers (airlines, outfitters, hotels, etc.).
- Our liability is limited to the amount paid to us for the booking in question.
Force Majeure
Mediate Expeditions is not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, wars, terrorism, or government actions.
Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, and logos, is the property of Mediate Expeditions and may not be used without prior written consent.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of The United States of America. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction.
